Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac patient care including post-op recovery, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and critical intervention protocols
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care cardiac nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
