Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU setting
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, ECG readings, and lab results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and code response teams
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU/CCU experience
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
