Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions including post-op recovery and telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret EKG rhythms with precision
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency interventions
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with unrestricted status
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care cardiac nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to educate diverse populations
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
- Commitment to continuous professional development
