Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, implement emergency protocols, and collaborate with cardiologists
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, post-procedure care, and medication management
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records and maintain regulatory compliance
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- 2+ years of acute care cardiology experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
