Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients including assessment, medication administration, and treatment monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, cardiac telemetry data, and vital signs
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health conditions and preventive care
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Respond effectively to emergency cardiac situations with ACLS certification
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
