Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for cardiac patients including monitoring, medication administration, and post-procedure recovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment and interpret EKG rhythms
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health conditions and preventive measures
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cardiac emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Wisconsin (or compact license)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years acute care nursing experience with cardiac specialty
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
