Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of every patient.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and alert the healthcare team to any changes in condition or potential complications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including progress notes and charting.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients during critical situations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, disease processes, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or eligible for reciprocity). BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
