Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and intervene immediately in case of complications or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (IL).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience preferred (new grads with exceptional credentials may be considered).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
