Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with ADLs: Help patients with eating, toileting, and personal hygiene as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans in our electronic health system.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Emergency Response: Respond to patient emergencies and assist with basic life support when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid State CNA Certification.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy: Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients regularly throughout the shift.
- San Antonio Resident: Must be willing to work within the San Antonio, TX area.
