Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients across diverse medical conditions
- Monitor and interpret complex patient data using advanced cardiac monitoring systems
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining sterile protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide compassionate family education and support during critical care episodes
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue emergencies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience in an acute care setting
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
