Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in 24-bed ICU/Step-Down unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions using advanced telemetryAdminister medications and perform complex procedures (arterial lines, ventilator management)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for care coordination
- Document care accurately in Epic EHR system
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to rapid response and code blue situations
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU/Step-Down experience
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (nights/weekends as needed)
