Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while adhering to facility protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Precept and mentor new nursing staff during orientation periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (TX RN license required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred for critical care assignments
- Proficient in electronic medical documentation systems (EPIC, Cerner, etc.)
- Excellent assessment skills with ability to prioritize complex patient needs
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and facility-specific protocols
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
