Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in acute care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with critical intervention skills
- Maintain strict compliance with NY State nursing protocols and JCAHO standards
- Supervise LPNs/CNAs and provide clinical guidance to support staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred for ICU/ER roles)
- Proficiency in Epic or Cerner EHR systems
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and protocols
- NYS DOH approved infection control training
