Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in assigned clinical units using evidence-based nursing practices
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, documenting all observations accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols during all patient care activities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Ohio
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience in relevant specialty
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Proficiency in electronic medical documentation systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make critical decisions in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
