Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide comprehensive patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care standards, and HIPAA compliance.
