Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to adhering to HIPAA guidelines and patient safety standards.
