Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, needs, and treatment options to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond efficiently to emergency situations and critical patient needs within the department.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (MD).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
