Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status to ensure optimal care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care during critical situations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certificate of Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
