Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients to monitor health status and identify changes.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, responses to treatment, and interventions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients in critical situations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates welcome with active license.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
