Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by taking vital signs, medical histories, and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or medical facility setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
