Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care and advocacy according to established nursing standards.
- Assess patient needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
