Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in clinical status.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient care services in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care instructions.
- Perform triage and emergency response procedures in critical care situations.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
