Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and specialty clinics
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and facility-specific training
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the District of Columbia
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience in at least two of the following: ER, ICU, Telemetry, Med-Surg, or Labor & Delivery
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
