Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by gathering data, including health histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (Med-Surg, ICU, ER, or Telemetry preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
