Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations with a calm and decisive approach.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and preventative care strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
