Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously to detect any changes in condition.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress and interventions.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection prevention and control standards to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in electronic health records systems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and handle physical demands associated with patient care.
