Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, administering medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and perform triage assessments in critical care areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (New graduates with BSN welcome).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
