Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record system
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience (preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency assessment skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system (preferred)
