Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients in emergency situations using evidence-based protocols
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Document electronic health records (EHR) with precision and timeliness
- Educate patients and families on discharge plans and preventive care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Participate in trauma activations and rapid response teams
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience
- BSN preferred (ADN considered with experience)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
