Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in fast-paced emergency settings
- Administer medications and interventions with precision while maintaining critical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to critical situations including trauma codes and rapid response activations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Illinois
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
