Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessments and critical interventions in fast-paced emergency settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precise dosage calculations and documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Provide trauma-informed care during high-stress situations and crisis management
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and hospital-wide safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience, ED background highly preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth technologies
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize complex cases
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
