Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and develop care plans for emergency patients across all acuity levels
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and outcomes
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to trauma codes and critical situations with calm expertise
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 2+ years ED experience in Level I trauma center
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (must maintain)
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Experience with Epic EMR and electronic documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
