Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients in emergency situations using evidence-based protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and hospital policies
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan RN license (active and in good standing)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with ED focus preferred
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, time-sensitive situations
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
