Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting vital signs and treatment responses
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Maintain precise medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
