Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses
- Document patient information accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and discharge instructions
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and prioritize critical patient needs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN with experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
