Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results
- Document patient encounters in Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans
- Maintain emergency equipment and supplies
- Participate in trauma activations and code responses
Qualifications
- Active NC RN license (or compact state license)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
