Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions through care continuum
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and health maintenance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to departmental training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license with quick PA endorsement)
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health records (Epic EMR preferred)
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
