Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment and care in fast-paced emergency settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Respond effectively to critical situations including trauma codes
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
