Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency settings including assessment, intervention, and treatment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to trauma codes and critical situations
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (or compact license with Texas endorsement)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- Strong clinical skills in triage, trauma, and cardiac care
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
