Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency situations, including assessment, intervention, and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Monitor and interpret diagnostic results, responding to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and adhere to regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Current Oregon RN license (or compact license with willingness to obtain Oregon license)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (EPIC preferred)
