Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans
- Respond effectively to critical situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (active)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure emergency settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
