Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per physician protocols
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic data, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Provide patient education on health conditions, discharge instructions, and preventive care
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
