Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients with diverse medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per physician protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
Qualifications
- Active Washington State RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree from accredited institution (ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in emergency or critical care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
