Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results to initiate timely interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and disease management
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Respond effectively to trauma codes and critical situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (current and in good standing)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required) with TNCC preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to prioritize complex cases
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC experience a plus)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
