Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Monitor patient vitals and response to treatments continuously
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years emergency room experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
