Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive, individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, documenting changes in health status.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate, high-quality care to stabilize patients.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN examination.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated compassion and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
