Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Document patient care services using electronic health records (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist with triage procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Diploma).
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for certain units.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Compassionate bedside manner and a commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting.
