Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer activities using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties in patient rooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification required (Texas Board of Nursing approved).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for travel between shifts if required).
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.
