Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient history, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient management.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist with Code Blue situations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to cross-train in various nursing units.
