Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process according to the standards of practice.
- Vital Signs & Assessment: Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and document all findings accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency codes and assist in the stabilization of critical patients.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within the last 2 years.
- Licensure: Currently active or eligible for Florida RN License.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or obtainable within 3 months of hire).
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, compassion, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic charting systems.
